ANISE HYSSOP
Agastache foeniculum
Attractive honey plant; produces abundant nectar which yields a light fragrant honey. Tall aromatic perennial with showy blue or white flower spikes. Fragrance similar to anise, hence the common name. Anise Hyssop is used to flavor tea, cakes, breads and occasionally meat or poultry. Flowers are edible and usually bloom in July through autumn.. Leaves are broad at the base and narrow to a point. Likes sun to part shade with good soil.
